Sept. 11 Remembrance Ceremony at Heritage Park Tonight

Dundalk residents are invited to gather in remembrance of the 2001 terrorist attacks on New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.

Greater Dundalk residents are invited to gather tonight at Heritage Park in remembrance of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

A remembrance ceremony, planned by the Dundalk Heritage Parade Committee, will begin at 7 p.m. at the park's gazebo.

The remembrance event will include musical performances and guest speakers.

Small flags and candles will be provided. Residents should bring blankets or lawn chairs.

Dundalk resident Irene Spatafore asks residents to bring items for "Angels Supporting Our Troops," a project that sends care packages to soldiers serving in war zones.

Each soldier receives 50 to 55 items in a box, according to Spatafore.
