Men stand at full height

Ladies eat everything lite....

Poems of old they do recite!

But 'tis the season for ho-ho-ho;

Everywhere are wreaths and mistletoe;

Lots of hustle and bustle, you know.

The manger scene isn't just for show;

Tis the reason for the season, we know!

Toys galore - a game, a truck, even a yo-yo;

And lots of toy soldiers all in a row;

There were dolls of Edgar and Allen.. but now just Poe!

Packages wrapped and topped with a bow;

Parents hide them -- high and low;

HINT! Never shop with the kids in tow!

The winter weather this year has been a no show;

So warm the grass seems to grow;

Alas, nary a trace of fluffy white snow.

Friends calling, "Shopping? Let's go!"

No one seems to know how to say no.

Everyone's spending lots of dough.

May 2011 quietly go...

As your eyes are a'glow

With found memories to stow

And about which you can crow!

So much going on,

I now shout

WHOA!

Merry Christmas

  and a very

Happy New Year!
