Playtime With Benji!

Looking to add some fun and puppy love into your life? Meet Benji, an adorable, playful, and affectionate 11-month-old havanese-mix in search of his new family.

Hey Guys! What’s up? My name is Benji and I’m a super cute, playful, and affectionate Havanese-poodle mix. I’m only about 11 months old and weigh in at a solid 17 pounds, so I’m a sturdy dog with lots of energy and need my daily exercise and playtime.  I’m a social pup and love all kinds of people, kids, and other dogs too. I also really like to play, and can mix it up with dogs big and small. I’m not afraid of anything yet, and can hang with the best of them. I’ve got lots of puppy enthusiasm, and a lot of love to share with my new family.

My original owners gave me up to a local shelter because they were just not ready to handle a puppy. Thankfully, I wasn’t in there long before Mutts Matter came calling, and I ended up in this awesome home with my foster mom, Robin. I feel so lucky to have landed with her. I have five foster pup siblings to play with, a big yard to run in, and I’m on a consistent routine with multiple walks every day. Robin has showed me what it feels like to be loved and part of a family. I trust her and try to stay by her side when we’re in the house, and I love to curl up next to her on the couch. It’s really great here, but I’m ready to find my own family and start my new life.

I’m still very much a puppy and a work in progress. Robin is teaching me to walk on leash, but I get so excited that I tend to get distracted by squirrels and anything else that moves, and could use some basic obedience training on that front. I’m almost fully potty-trained, but may have an occasional accident until I learn my new routine. I settled in quickly to the routine around here, and do well once I know what’s expected of me. My foster mom doesn’t use a crate, so I get free roam of the house and haven’t chewed or destroyed a single thing since I’ve been here. She makes sure I have plenty of toys and bones to chew on that keep me entertained when I’m not outside romping around.

Outside of playing, my favorite thing is to have your attention and affection. I’m a very engaging pup, and enjoy entertaining my foster mom. I can stand on my hind legs like a circus dog and make her laugh…I know how to work a room. I’m such a happy, good-natured pup; I light up when it’s time to go for a walk, but can also have fun sitting by the window to let my foster family know when the squirrels or deer are coming to visit. Mostly, I just want to be loved and cuddled.

I still have a lot of puppy energy and would do best with a young, active family who will commit to walking and playing with me every day. Consistent exercise keeps my energy drained and helps me stay healthy, balanced, and well behaved. A house with a fenced back yard is ideal, and I would do great with kids or another young, active dog in the home. I’m probably not the best fit with an older dog because I‘d probably get on their nerves…because I’m a puppy! I’m still young and learning the ropes, so I will need a home that offers me a consistent routine, and basic obedience training would be a good idea.

I’m just a sweet, adorable puppy in need of a family to love. If you need a social puppy to love, cuddle, and play with, I’m your dog!

Another victim of OweMalley and his crew and their very unfriendly business climate. What a shameRead More and great pharmacy and some very nice people. Too bad

What does the closing of a Pharmacy have to do with the Governor? Nothing.

In retrospect, they should have built the LNG Plant. We would have had thousands of people working.
Wayne Monroe June 18, 2013 at 01:39 pm
Actually, if the country hadn't become a natural gas exporter rather than an importer the LNG plantRead More probably would have proceeded. Opponents raised such a fuss about the dredging required but if the state wants to dredge, step aside. They'll do what they want.

...and now they are changing over Cove Point from an import terminal to an export terminal. TheyRead More better order some more cranes from Shanghai Zenhui in China they take a while to build and transport here and the worldwide demand for them is huge. Those new container ships can transport 15,000 containers whereas the current ones max out at 5,000.

Just like YOU just did.
Mike Hunt May 7, 2013 at 03:14 am
Mr. Samm, this situation is nothing like North Korea. WE, the PEOPLE, elected the councilman toRead More represent us, that is correct; however, I DID NOT elect Dundalk United to REPRESENT DUNDALK! They are a group of assholes who want nothing but the same shit in this area. We have to expand our minds if we want something better than we currently have. When they start doing that, let me know!
