Obituary: Charles Herman "C.H." Echols Jr.

The longtime Dundalk resident and community volunteer was 95.

Longtime Dundalk resident and community volunteer Charles Herman "C.H." Echols Jr. died July 12. He was 95.

Echols was a longtime volunteer with the Dundalk-Patapsco Neck Historical Society and Museum, a noted photographer and was known for his wood replicas of Dundalk's historic and well-known buildings.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Bradley-Ashton-Kehl Funeral Home, 2134 Willow Spring Road.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church on Dundalk Avenue.

Interment services will be private.

Echols is survived by his wife, Gladys Marsheck Echols; daughters Diane Hopple and her husband Ron, Linda Howard and her husband Ron and Dawn Simons; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
