TELL US: Thoughts After Ravens Fire Cam Cameron

Share your thoughts with fellow Patch readers after offensive coordinator Cam Cameron was fired by the Ravens Monday morning.

The weather Monday was befitting a morning after a Ravens loss to the Redskins.

But for some Baltimore football fans, it was a beautiful day, as the oft-blamed Cam Cameron was relieved of his duties as the Ravens' offensive coordinator. Quarterbacks coach and former Colts head coach Jim Caldwell will take over play-calling duties.

Cameron was the lightning rod for a Ravens fan base expectant of improvement on the offensive side of the ball, where the franchise invested high draft picks and significant contracts to improve a decade-long weakness.

Cameron was fired a day after the Ravens fumbled away a late lead to the Redskins, who walked off with an overtime field goal. It was the Ravens' second straight loss—and a 4th-and-29 conversion in San Diego away from a third straight defeat.

What are your thoughts now, after the Ravens let Cameron go?

Will the change in leadership be the cure-all? Is someone else to blame? Where do the Ravens go from here?

Who's better than Flacco right now? Who's been to the playoffs 4 years in a row and made it to the AFC championship game. Oh yeah, he also made the throws to win those games but our receivers couldn't catch the ball. I wouldn't call Flacco elite but I would put him in the top10 in the league right now. O line is weak and we are missing 6 of our 11 starters on def.

It's about time! There have been communication issues between Cameron and Flacco since last year....now, let the Ravens handle there business and clinch a playoff birth!! Go RAVENS!!

I have to agree with Tim.....I'm not a Ravens fan with the weapons the team has I just don't understand why they don't win it all.... I just think this firing was bad timing! I could see it if they were the Cardinals....but, at 9 and 4....COME ON!.....is this Harbaughs way of side stepping the blame.

See I cheer for the Ravens for the sake of Baltimore, you know, city I live in. Unless they play the Giants of course ;) Which is happening in two weeks actually.
