A man was injured in a shooting Wednesday night that the Baltimore County Police Department reported was under investigation.
At 6:25 p.m. on Wednesday, police received multiple calls regarding an assault in progress and shots fired in the 2900 block of Yorkway in Dundalk, according to the report.
Officers found a man who had been shot once in the lower part of his body, the report said. The victim was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, according to police.
According to the preliminary investigation, the man was approached by two suspects, one of whom produced a handgun and began firing, police said. The man was hit by a single gunshot, according to police.
Investigators are working to determine whether the victim was targeted, according to the report, which said that there was no suspect information available.
