Armed Home Invasion, Arson, Burglary and Puppy Theft Among Recent Crimes

The following crime log is a sampling of recently reported crimes from Precinct 12.

McShane Way, 3500 block, 2:45 p.m., April 15. Two males approached a homeowner as he was entering the rear door of his home and forced him inside. The two males displayed two handguns and demanded money from the homeowner, who handed over his wallet containing $14. The two males looked around the first floor of the home and then fled the location without taking anything from the victim or his home.

North Boundary Road, 8200 block, between 8:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., April 13. An unknown suspect entered the backyard of a home and removed a 12-week-old white and brown spotted pit bull puppy.

Dunmanway, 7000 block, 10 p.m., April 13. An unknown suspect was seen banging on a vehicle door, then leaving the scene with a gas can. The vehicle caught fire and was destroyed. Fire department investigators responded.

Lynch Road and Ewald Avenue, 5 a.m., April 9. A woman was walking on Lynch Road when a man began walking alongside her. When they approached the alley between Dineen Drive and Ewald Avenue, the man pushed the suspect to the ground, grabbing her purse and then fleeing. A red “Betty Boop” purse was stolen, along with $57 in currency and $30 in coins.

Maxwell Ave., 1800 block, between 1:50 p.m. and 2:50 p.m., April 10. An unknown suspect or suspects entered a home and stole a record player, floor jack, bottle jack, drill, DVD player and gun cleaning kit. Witnesses obtained a license plate number and, following an investigation, the stolen property was recovered.

Craig Gordon Wacker, of the 6700 block of Woodley Road in Dundalk, has been charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary, and theft of less than $1,000. He was released from Baltimore County Detention Center April 11 after posting bail.

North Point Road, 7500 block, between Jan. 1 and April 13. An unknown suspect entered an AT&T cell phone tower and removed two copper plates, valued at $1,000.

N. Snyder Road, 2600 block, 5:57 a.m., April 9. An unknown suspect or suspects gained entry into a vacant home, under construction, through a rear basement door and started a fire in the basement.

Holabird Ave., 7000 block, between 7:30 p.m., April 7 and 9:30 a.m., April 8. Unknown suspects busted through drywall and stole two laptop computers and a 19-inch flat screen television.

Wallford Drive, 3100 block, between 1 p.m., April 5 and 9 p.m., April 6. An unknown suspect or suspects forced their way into a home and stole an Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and 30 video games.
