Armed Robbery at Lingerie Store

Arson, burglary, armed home invasion and armed commercial robbery among recently reported local crimes.

On Feb. 5, just before 10 p.m., the LoveCraft lingerie store on in the 700-block of Merritt Blvd. was robbed by two men. According to police reports, two men wearing hooded sweatshirts, including one believed to be armed with a black handgun, stole $565 after forcing an employee to open the cash register and then to lie on the floor behind the counter.

The store sells garments, adult DVDs and videos, and gifts. No merchandise was reported stolen.

On Feb. 5, between noon and 6:30 p.m., a suspect or suspects walked through a home's unlocked front door and gained entry into a locked bedroom. Once inside the bedroom, four Baltimore Ravens’ football jerseys and one football was stolen.

On Feb. 6, at 9 p.m., according to Baltimore County police, an armed home invasion occurred in the 2000 block of Larkhall Rd. in Dundalk. Police allege two suspects, one armed with a handgun, entered the residence with the owners present, and stole $30 in currency, a cell phone and six DVDs.  According to police, the cell phone was later recovered.

Deontae Eugene Edwards, of the 2000 block of Codd Ave. in Dundalk, was charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, fourth-degree burglary and trespassing.

On Feb. 8, at approximately 2 a.m., a trash can was set on a fire on the back porch of a home in the 8500 block of Kavanaugh Rd.

On Feb. 8, at approximately 10 a.m., a suspect opened a window, reached inside and unlocked a rear door in the 200 block of N. Avondale Rd. in Dundalk. Nothing was reported stolen, but the victim’s dog escaped from the home.
