Matthew Charles Long, 33, has been sentenced to life in prison for killing his grandparents in 2012, according to news reports.

WBAL reports that Long pleaded guilty on Thursday to killing Vaughn and Marjorie Pepper, who were found severely beaten in their home in the 800 block of Olmstead Road in the Pikesville area. They were found Sept. 10, 2012 but had apparently been dead for several days.

Long was found in a motel room in Weatherford, Okla., on Sept. 11, 2012, after an apparent suicide attempt, the station reported.

So if he attempted suicide but didn't succeed, why doesn't the state just grant his wish and enter sandman? Save our tax money from housing a cold blooded dead beat murderer
