Baltimore County Police: Celebrate the Ravens Responsibly

Police patrols will be out in force today and tonight to keep county residents and roads safe.

Baltimore County Police Department officials want Baltimore Ravens fans to celebrate today's big game, but remind fans to celebrate safely and responsibly.

Across the county, individual police precincts will make patrol assignments depending on the needs of each area, according to department Spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher.

"Each precinct commander will determine the plan for each area," she said Friday. "They will deploy police to the areas that are historically problematic."

Police want all county residents and those who might be traveling through to be safe. Officials know many people will attend private parties and patronize local restaurants and taverns to watch the big game, and they remind fans to drink responsibly, have a designated driver and hand over the keys if necessary.

"We will be out there, trust that," Rogers-Feher said. "We want our fans to enjoy the Ravens win — we want them to celebrate this year and we want them  to celebrate next year."
