A Nissan Altima traveling in the same direction as the bicyclist on North Point Road moved to the left to give the bicyclist the required amount of room when the teenager, for unknown reasons, turned her bike into the side of the car, Batton said on Monday.

The driver of the Nissan remained on the scene and no charges are pending, Batton said.
