Dundalk Car Buy Turns Into Burglary Attempt

An attempt to purchase a vehicle turned into an attempted burglary after an intoxicated potential buyer tried to force his way into the seller’s home, according to Baltimore County police.

Shortly after 6:30 p.m. on July 7, police allege that an intoxicated man wishing to purchase a car from a resident of Frames Road kicked the door of home when told the car was no longer for sale, stating, ”I’m coming in the house no matter what.”

According to police there was no previous relationship between the seller of the vehicle and would-be buyer.

Christopher Dietrich Schott, 25, of the 2000 block of Guyway, Dundalk, was charged with attempted first-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary, trespassing, malicious destruction of property and resisting arrest.

According to online records, Schott had a bail review hearing July 11 and remains committed to Baltimore County Detention Center.
