Copper Theft, Armed Robbery and False Imprisonment Among Recently Reported Crimes

Unknown suspects stole $2,000 worth of copper from Bear Creek Towne Pumping Station and a teenager was reportedly robbed at gunpoint at night behind General John Stricker Middle School.

March 18, 2:30 p.m.-March 21, 7 a.m.: Second-degree burglary. In the 8600 block of Lynch Road, at the Bear Creek Towne Pumping Station, unknown suspects used unknown means to gain entry and steal $2,000 worth of copper that was located in a panel box within the pumping station. The pumping station is owned by the Baltimore County Bureau of Utilities.

March 22, 6 a.m.-8 p.m.: First-degree burglary. In the 800 block of N. Avondale, unknown suspects broke a side window and stole a 40-inch Samsung television and a Dell laptop.

March 21, 11:20 p.m.: Armed robbery. In the 7800 block of Trappe Road, a teenager victim sitting on the bleachers behind General John Stricker Middle School was approached by three suspects, one of whom displayed a black handgun and told the victim to empty his pockets. The suspects stole an Apple iPhone and a $1 bill and fled.

Feb. 25-March 23: At St. Monica Drive and St. Bridget Lane, unknown suspects gained entry into the gated tower equipment area. Once inside, the suspects stole two copper grounding plates.

March 23, 8:30 a.m.: On Merritt Boulevard while a male suspect was driving a female to school, both parties had a verbal altercation. The male suspect, described by police as the female’s boyfriend, allegedly displayed a knife and lunged at the female and forced her to drive the vehicle. The female, according to police, observed a police officer at a traffic stop at which time she flagged the officer down.

Antonine Emmanuel Scott, 21, of the 4100 block of Groveland Ave., Baltimore, was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and false imprisonment. According to online court records, the defendant remains committed to the Baltimore County Detention Center.

March 17-March 18: First-degree burglary. In the 4100 block of Eder Road, an unknown suspect or unknown suspects entered a home and stole Toshiba laptop.

March 18, 10:40 p.m.: Attempted robbery. In the 1700 block of Merritt Blvd., a teenage male was allegedly assaulted. Along with a second teenage male, the first teenager was allegedly robbed. Two male suspects were later identified and arrested.

Jamal Arkeith Thomison, 25, of 116 N. Poppleton St., Baltimore, was charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of second-degree assault and making a false statement to a police officer.

Lawrence Charles Guy, Jr., 29, of the 3200 block of Dundalk Ave., was charged with two counts of robbery.
