Don't Trick-or-Treat at Greater Dundalk Sex Offender Homes

Baltimore County police will be watching registered sex offenders on Halloween.

One more last-minute safety tip before heading out to trick-or-treat—search for homes around your neighborhood where registered sex offenders live.

Baltimore County police announced they will be watching registered sex offenders on Halloween night to make sure they comply with their requirement to make no contact with children.

According to a release, police have advised registered sex offenders to take the following precautions:

  • Not to answer the door 
  • Not to hand out candy
  • To display "No Candy" signs on front of residences

Search for homes in your neighborhood using the Sex Offender Compliance and Enforcement in Maryland website at http://www.socem.info/. Residents can also call Maryland's toll-free Sex Offender Alert Line at 1-866-559-8017.
