Dundalk Crime: Attempted Murder, Burglaries, Assaults

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

May 18: Second-degree burglary, 7800 block of Eastern Boulevard

At 2:25 a.m., officers responded to Dunkin Donuts for a burglar alarm. The suspect pried open a window and attempted to steal a cash register drawer. The suspect fled without taking anything. The suspect is a white male, 18 to 25 years old, and 5-foot-10.

May 18: Second-degree burglary, 200 block of North Point Boulevard

Between 1:50 and 2:30 a.m., an unknown suspect cut a hole in a fence around K-Mart. The suspect was unable to open the door to the store.

May 16: Building fire, 2600 block of Yorkway

At 12:47 p.m., police and fire units responded to a fire at a new home under construction. The fire is not considered suspicious.

May 14: First-degree assault, 8000 block of Wynbrook Road

At 6:40 p.m., the victim went to a home to fight with one of the residents. One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim and another suspect swung a machete at him. Daris Merritt, 18, of the 8000 block of Wynbrook Road, 21224, and David Schaaf, 22, of the 8000 block of Eastdale Road, 21224, were charged with assault.

May 13: Second-degree burglary, 1100 block of North Point Road

At 5:44 p.m., an unknown suspect used a vehicle to ram a bay door at Mr. Tire to enter the business. The suspects fled when the alarm sounded.

May 12: Second-degree burglary, 7900 block of East Baltimore Street

Between 7:30 and 7:51 p.m., an unknown suspect forced open a bay door to Accurate Machine. The alarm sounded, and the suspect fled.

May 12: Second-degree burglary, 7000 block of Rolling Mill Road

At 7:26 p.m., an unknown suspect backed into the bay door of Brody Transportation, causing enough damage to enter the business. Tools were taken.

May 12: Building fire, 1300 block of Merritt Boulevard

At 5:41 a.m., fire units were dispatched to Wendy's for a fire. Fire personnel located a fire in the kitchen near the grill area. The fire was extinguished, and fire investigators determined that the fire was accidental.

May 9 to May 10: Second-degree burglary, 8200 block of Fischer Road

During an unknown time frame, an unknown suspect cut a hole in a fence to enter SECA Underground. Scrap metal was stolen.

May 8: Attempted murder, 8400 block of Kavanagh Road

At 4:46 p.m., the victim was confronted by two suspects, who accused him of selling them a broken video game system. The argument escalated into a physical fight, and one of the suspects stabbed the victim. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery. Brett White, 24, and Dalton White, 21, of the 600 block of Aldworth Road, 21222, were arrested and charged in connection with the case.

May 8: First-degree assault, Wynbrook Road and Eastdale Road

At 2:30 p.m., three victims were walking in the area when an unknown suspect approached them. The suspect pointed a gun at them, and all three victims ran. The suspect is a white male, 30 years old, 5-foot-10, 160 pounds, with brown hair.

May 6: Second-degree burglary, 8100 block of Rosebank Avenue

At 10:40 p.m., the owner of Bull's Service observed a known suspect inside the store attempting to take tools. He confronted the suspect, who fled in a truck.

May 5: Fourth-degree burglary, 3800 block of Edgewater Place

At 6:46 p.m., a suspect entered the fenced-in lot of Belfast Valley Contractors and took wrenches. The suspect is a white male, 20 to 40 years old, 5-foot-10, and 160 pounds.
