Dundalk Crime Roundup: Shipping Place Burglaries

From the Baltimore County Police Department, a summary of recent police news from North Point Police Precinct 12.

Two businesses in the Dundalk Village Shopping Center on Shipping Place were burglarized recently.

At about 2:17 a.m. July 20, an employee of Big Boys Pizza arrived at work to discover that someone had pried open the rear door and stolen two cash registers, according to Baltimore County Police Department reports.

The registers were found on the rear parking lot, but money was missing.

The suspect is a man, about 6 feet tall, according to police.

Between 11:15 p.m. on July 18 and 6 a.m. on July 19, an unknown suspect broke the front door of Subway and stole money from the cash register.

Unknown destructive device, Kentway

On July 21, police investigated the report of an unknown destructive device that exploded in the unit block of Kentway.

At about 9:45 p.m., a man reported hearing a loud bang in his backyard, according to police reports.

Officers found pieces of plastic scattered throughout the yard, indicating that something had exploded.

Fourth-degree burglary, Merritt Avenue

Between noon on July 18 and 11 p.m. on July 19, two suspects entered a fenced-in area at Father and Son Entry Systems in the 2100 block of Merritt Avenue and stole scrap metal.
