Seton Hill Lacrosse Coach Who Died in Team Crash was Dundalk Graduate

Kristina Quigley, 30, was pregnant. She was one of two who died in the crash that made national headlines; several others were injured.

A 30-year-old Dundalk High School graduate was among two killed in a crash in which a bus carrying the Seton Hill University women’s lacrosse team crashed into a tree in Pennsylvania, The Baltimore Sun reports.

The bus was carrying Kristina Quigley, the university's head women's lacrosse coach, 23 students and two other coaches to a match around 9 a.m. Saturday when the bus veered off the road and hit a tree, according to the Baltimore Sun story.

The driver of the bus died at the scene, the story states. Quigley died of injuries at the Hershey Medical Center. She was six months pregnant and her unborn child also did not survive, according to news reports.

Quigley, whose maiden name was Trionfo, graduated from Dundalk High School in 2001 before going on to Duquesne University in Pennsylvania, the article states.

The Dundalk native is survived by her husband, Glenn Quigley and son, Gavin, according to a statement from Seton Hill University.

She had just started her second season with the university's women’s lacrosse program after leading the team to 11 wins in her first season there, the statement says.

Seton Hill University scheduled a memorial Mass for Quigley and the bus driver on campus Sunday evening, according to the statement.
