Elementary School Music Teacher Charged in Child Pornography Case

A New Hampshire Estates Elementary School music teacher has been charged with possession of child pornography, according to Baltimore County police.
Lawrence Joynes, 54, of the 1900 block of Ormand Road in Dundalk, is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center with bail set at $1 million, officials said.
The music teacher was charged with one count of possessing child pornography based on material found on his home computer, police said.

Montgomery County police have been notified of the charge against Joynes and will conduct their own investigation to determine if any criminal offenses occurred in that county, according to Balltimore County police.
New Hampshire Estates Elementary is located at 8720 Carroll Avenue in Silver Spring.
