The four people paid their tab and were leaving the bar through the back door when the unknown suspect, who was outside, punched one of the men in the group several times in the face. The victim ran to the back of the parking lot and was seen in surveillance footage being chased by a second man identified as Daniels, charging documents indicate.

There was a scuffle, and Daniels hit the victim in the head with a pool cue, according to charging documents. Police said the victim was found on Rosebank Avenue, suffering from a concussion and laceration to the head that later required staples at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center

Surveillance footage showed a large group coming out of the bar, then the disturbance moved off camera briefly before one person staggered toward the bar holding his throat and collapsed to the ground, according to charging documents.

Daniels had a stab wound in his upper back, and his face was swelling from being hit with a brick, he told police. According to charging documents, Daniels returned to his home on Del Haven Road, where his wife attempted to care for him; he ultimately went to Bayview Medical Center for medical attention, according to charging documents.

Police said that Daniels was interviewed at the hospital by officers, who determined he was involved in the fight and was a suspect. He was arrested and charged on March 29, after his release from the hospital, police said.

The Baltimore County Police Department said that as of April 3, Daniels had been released from jail after posting $100,000 bail.

His trial is scheduled for April 26 in Baltimore County District Court.
