Dundalk Woman Indicted in String of Armed Robberies

Two people were indicted recently in connection with a string of armed robberies concentrated in the Dundalk area, the Baltimore County Police Departmentreported Monday.

Nick Dean Hornberger, 32, of no fixed address and Amy Lynn Holland, 28, of the 3300 block of Yorkway in Dundalk, were indicted on armed robbery and other charges, police said.

Hornberger went into various stores and demanded money, while Holland was the getaway driver, according to police.

At 6:25 p.m. on March 6, Hornberger went into Tony's Pizza in the 6900 block of Holabird Avenue and whispered to the cashier that he wanted a pizza deal, police said; after she gave him details on the special, he whispered that he was going to rob her and pointed a handgun inside a plastic bag at her, according to the report. He left with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

At 2:30 p.m. on March 5, Hornberger ordered two donuts at the Dunkin Donuts in the 6300 block of Kenwood Avenue, and as the cashier was filling his order, Hornberger implied he had a weapon and demanded money, police said. The cashier locked the door using a remote locking system, according to police, and Hornberger attempted to leave; then the cashier unlocked the front door so the man could get away, without any cash, the report said.

At 6:55 a.m. on March 5, Hornberger entered the 7-Eleven in the unit block of Eastern Boulevard and demanded money, police said. He had been carrying a plastic bag containing what the cashier believed to be a gun, police said, and he left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police said Hornberger was also indicted in three other robberies: at 10:17 a.m. on March 5 at the 7-Eleven in the 7900 block of Wise Avenue; at 12:40 a.m. on March 5 at the Royal Farms in the unit block of North Dundalk Avenue; and at 11:26 p.m. on Feb. 25 at the High's store in the 6800 block of Broening Road.

According to police, both Hornberger and Holland are being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
