Beach Drive House Fire Under Investigation

The house fire in Dundalk's Rosewald Beach neighborhood was reported Tuesday afternoon.

UPDATE (1:50 p.m.)—Firefighters responded to a fire Tuesday afternoon in a Dundalk neighborhood, according to Baltimore County public safety officials.

At 12:44 p.m., crews were dispatched to a fire on the 8200 block of Beach Drive, according to Cpl. Cathy Batton, a Baltimore County Police Department spokeswoman.

A 911 caller notified authorities of the fire, which was reported as a fire in the fireplace of a vacant home, Cpl. John Wachter of the Baltimore County Police Department said.

Nine emergency vehicles were dispatched to the scene, Wachter said.

After arriving at the home on Beach Drive, firefighters put out a "very small fire" in the fireplace, Wachter said.

Officials said there were no injuries as a result of the fire, which occurred in Rosewald Beach.

Batton said that the Baltimore County arson team was on the way to the scene as of 1:15 p.m. to determine whether the fire was accidental or intentionally set.
