Kamenetz Tours North Point Precinct

The county executive is taking advantage of a break in his schedule to tour police and fire station facilties this week.

Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz visited North Point Precinct 12 Tuesday afternoon, informally touring the facility and meeting with local officers.

Police Chief Jim Johnson accompanied Kamenetz, who was making his first visit to the North Point station.

“It’s a chance to take a look at the facilities and meet and greet the officers,” Johnson said. “It gives him firsthand knowledge of the building. And he’s personable and the officers enjoy having that dialogue.”

Among other areas of the station, Kamenetz visited the traffic control room and was introduced at afternoon roll call.

“It helps to get a sense of what’s happening at the station, and talking to some of the officers, you get a sense of what some of the needs are,” Kamenetz said. “It’s my first time here. The building is actually in better condition than I imagined.”
