Man Critically Injured in Dundalk House Fire

Fire broke out in an Avon Beach Road house early Monday morning.

One man is in critical condition at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center after a house fire this morning in Dundalk.

Fire crews were dispatched to the 100 block of Avon Beach Road at 5:11 a.m. Monday, according to public safety spokeswoman Elise Armacost.

Firefighters with Dundalk's Engine 6 were first on the scene and reported heavy smoke showing, Armacost said in a statement.

Crew members searched the building and rescued a man from the second floor. He was taken to Bayview with critical injuries, Armacost said.

Kudo's to the fire and EMS personal serving the Dundalk area.. To many times on this forum as well as others, all we hear are people complaining and degrading each other and when something is positive no one ever comments. We are thankful for having such dedicated people protecting us. Great job guys and gals......
