A 19-year-old man died as a result of injuries sustained when he fell 60 feet from a catwalk at the abandoned Seagram's Distillery property.
At about 3:49 p.m. Aug. 19, the county's 911 center received a call about an unidentified man who had fallen on the Sollers Point Road property, according to Baltimore County Police Department spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher.
Two 19-year-old men were on the fifth-floor catwalk of one of the abandoned buildings when the catwalk collapsed. One man was able to hold on, but the other fell, Rogers-Feher said.
The injured man was airlifted by the Maryland State Police to the University of Maryland's R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where he later died.
