Good Samaritan Shot Multiple Times in Dundalk Fight

Victim was attempting to come to the aid of a friend.

A Good Samaritan who attempted to come to the aid of a friend involved in a fight was shot multiple times early Tuesday and is hospitalized.

Baltimore County police responded to a call at 2:34 a.m. Aug. 14 about a fight in the 100 block of Kinship Road, according to department spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher.

The fight, which involved a man and the shooting suspect, took place outside in front of an apartment, Rogers-Feher said.

The victim, a friend of the man involved in the fight, attempted to help his friend and ended up being shot himself.

"This was one time where trying to be a Good Samaritan didn't pay," Rogers-Feher said. "But you have to try."

The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening, according to the spokeswoman.

The investigation is ongoing, Rogers-Feher said.
