Merritt Point Billiards Robbery Among Recently Reported Crimes

A sampling of recently reported crimes from Precinct 1/North Point Station.

Merritt Boulevard, 1600 block, sometime after 3 a.m., April 24. An unknown burglar or burglars broke into Merritt Point Billiards by prying open the rear door. Once inside, an ATM door and gaming console were damaged and $3,100 was stolen.

North Point Boulevard and Bethlehem Boulevard, 11 a.m., April 24. A man approached another man selling flowers, asking the seller if he had change for a $50 bill to buy $5 worth of flowers. When the flower salesman noticed the $50 bill wasn’t real, the man grabbed $45 from the flower salesman’s hand and fled the scene.

Playfield Street, 10:30 p.m., April 27. Burglars stole rain spouts with an estimated value of $225 from a residence. More rain spouts, valued at $300, were destroyed.

Michael Nathan Serio, of the 8000 block of Bank St., was charged with theft of less than $1,000; theft of less than $100; fourth-degree burglary and malicious destruction of property.

Parkwood Road, 200 block, 12:12 p.m., April 26. A man entered the backyard of a home and advised that he was going to borrow an extension cord.

Gary Michael Barrett, of the 8000 block of Gray Haven Road, was charged with fourth-degree burglary.

Delvale Avenue, 1700 block, between 7:48 p.m. and 8:25 p.m., April 14. A juvenile male, described as a former student, entered Dundalk High School through unlocked rear doors and stole four decks of playing cards and $1. He was seen by custodial staff and later arrested.

Villager Circle, 700 block, 1 p.m., April 26. A man, described as an ex-boyfriend, came to repay a woman some money, and then asked her for a drink. As the woman poured the drink, according to police reports, her ex-boyfriend punched her in the face and stole a silver purse, $2,200 in currency and keys.

Dundalk Avenue, 8100 block, between April 18 and April 23. An unknown burglar or burglars entered a home and stole a flat-screen television, a gold and silver watch, two portable heaters and a Nintendo Wii. Total value: $677.

Dunglow Road, 3000 block, 2:05 a.m., April 23. An unknown burglar at a house entered the home’s backyard, stealing gutter and drain pipe worth $500.

Barry Road, 2000 block, between 7 p.m., April 24 and 10 a.m., April 25. A 24-inch pink Mongoose bike and a 26-inch neon green Hyper bike, total value of $246, were stolen from a backyard at a home.

 ***Other bicycle thefts were reported in the 100 block of Ventor Terrace; the 8000 block of Stratman Road; the 800 block of Loalan Ave., and the 7900 block of Stratman Road.
