North Point Police Officer Injured in Crash

The injured police officer was transported to Bayview Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, including facial lacerations.

A Baltimore County police officer suffered minor injuries during an accident involving another vehicle Friday night in Dundalk.

On routine patrol on Wallford Avenue, a Precinct 12 officer’s car collided with another vehicle near the Trappe Road intersection, suffering minor lacerations to the face, according to a Baltimore County police communications officer.

The accident was reported at 11:23 p.m. The injured police officer was transported to Bayview Medical Center for treatment and observation.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

The accident was described as a “T-bone type wreck,” by a Baltimore County police communications officer, but further details of the collision were not available. Alcohol or drugs did not appear to be a factor in the accident, according to police. The accident investigation is ongoing.
