This is a summary of recent significant police news in Greater Dundalk.

May 28: Armed Robbery-Gun, 6900 block of German Hill Road, 21222

At 2:13 p.m., a man entered the Quik Mart and asked the cashier for change for a $20 bill. He then displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect fled on foot with money from the store. The suspect is described as a white male, 40 to 50 years old, 6’0” tall, 175 pounds, with long brown hair.

May 27 to May 28: Commercial Burglary, Unit block of Shipping Place, 21222

Between 10 p.m. on May 27 and 6:01 a.m. on May 28, an unknown suspect pried open the rear door of the Asian Diner. Money, soda, and a video camera were stolen.

May 27: Destructive Device with Injury, 8600 block of Tall Oaks Road, 21219

At 11:30 p.m., a man heard a car door slam out front of his home. He observed an unknown male running from his yard and getting into a dark-colored Honda. He then discovered a plastic bottle on his front yard that was extremely hot to the touch so he dropped it. The bottle exploded, spraying chemicals on his neck. He did not call 911 until the following morning.

May 27: Attempted Murder, 700 Aldworth Road, 21222

At 10:45 a.m., several black male suspects forced their way into the victims’ home through the rear door. The suspects confronted a man and woman inside the home. The 29-year-old man was shot during the confrontation, and the 28-year-old woman was stabbed. The man was transported to the hospital by helicopter for treatment of serious injuries and was listed in critical condition. The woman was transported to the hospital by ground, and her injuries are not life-threatening. The suspects fled on foot.

May 26: Attempted Commercial Burglary, 200 block of North Point Boulevard, 21224

At 2:43 a.m., an unknown suspect attempted to pry the glass from the front door of Niko’s Pizza. The glass shattered, and the alarm sounded. Entry was not gained.

May 26: Attempted Commercial Burglar, 8200 block of Eastern Boulevard, 21224

At 2:25 a.m., an unknown suspect responded to the Orix USA (formerly Sam’s Club) building for a burglar alarm. An HVAC unit on the roof had been tampered with but nothing was taken.

May 26: Destructive Device, 2400 block of Eugene Avenue, 21219

At 12:30 a.m., a man saw a small gray vehicle parked outside his home. He heard a loud bang, and the vehicle sped away. The victim discovered an exploded chemical reactive device (soda bottle) on the pavement.

May 25: Destructive Device, 1900 Delvale Avenue, 21222

At 12:32 p.m., a chemical reactive device (dry ice) exploded inside Dundalk High School during the Senior Farewell Picnic. The School Resource Officer identified Marco Jones, 18, of the 2700 block of Seamon Avenue, 21224, through school surveillance video. He was arrested and charged with destructive device and disrupting school activities.

May 25: First Degree Burglary, 600 block of Goodman Avenue, 21222

Between 10 and 10:26 a.m., an unknown female entered the victim’s home through an unlocked rear window. Jewelry, batteries, and money were taken.

May 24: Commercial Burglary, 1100 block of Merritt Boulevard, 21222

Between 2:25 and 2:39 a.m., an unknown suspect pried the door glass of Filleti’s Pizza and entered the store. The suspect opened two cash drawers and stole money.

May 23 to May 24: Commercial Burglary, 1000 block of Merritt Boulevard, 21222

Between 10 p.m. on May 23 and 9:30 a.m. on May 24, an unknown suspect forced open the rear door of The Bull Pen. The suspect cut a padlock to the freezer and stole 16 cases of frozen meat and a meat slicer.

May 23: Commercial Burglary, 1100 block of North Point Road, 21222

At 7 p.m. an unknown suspect pushed in the window air conditioning unit at North Point Motors and entered the business. Electronics were stolen. The suspect also broke a windshield of a car belonging to True 2 Form, a business next door.
