Pedestrian Hit and Killed in Dundalk

Irwin Joseph Combs, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Baltimore County Police Department officials.

A pedestrian was hit and killed in Dundalk at about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to Baltimore County Police Department spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher.

Irwin Joseph Combs, 55, of the 8300 block of Kavanagh Road, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Rogers-Feher.

The crash occurred on North Point Boulevard at New Battle Grove Road.

Police said a 42-year-old Dundalk woman was driving her 2007 Jeep Liberty northbound on North Point Boulevard when Combs walked on to the roadway from the median strip and was struck by the Liberty.

Witnesses told police the victim "appeared to be stumbling through the median prior to being struck," according to the statement from Rogers-Feher.

No citations have been issued at this time, according to the spokeswoman.
