Police Release Sketch of Suspect in Dundalk Shooting

Police ask for public's help in identifying suspect in November's shooting on Guy Way in Precinct 12/North Point.

Baltimore County Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in the shooting of a 22-year-old man in the 2000-block of Guy Way in Dundalk.

The incident occurred on Nov. 9 at 7:59 p.m.

Detectives have been able to create a sketch of one of the suspects based on interviews in the investigation, according to a Baltimore County press release today. They describe the suspect as a black male, 6-foot-1, with a medium build.

Investigators say that the victim, identified as Jean Hoffman, 22, was inside his residence when he answered a knock at the door. After stepping outside, an argument began with three suspects, and he was shot once.

Hoffman retreated back into his home and the suspects fled the scene. He was transported to the University of Maryland's Shock Trauma center where he was treated and released, recovering from his wound.
