Police Seek 2 Pit Bulls Following Edgemere Attack

Police say two pit bulls attacked a woman.

Police are looking for two pit bulls that attacked a woman in Edgemere.

An alert was Tweeted on Baltimore County's public safety account just before 6 p.m. Friday about the pit bulls, one brown and one white. A police spokesman said more information was forthcoming.

Updated: Friday, February 22 2013, 08:58 PM EST Just before 3:00 on Friday afternoon Baltimore County Police and Fire were called to the 7600 block of North Point Road in Edgemere, Maryland for a person suffering from an unknown injury. Authorities found a woman who had been attacked by both of her own Pit Bulls. The investigation is still pending to determine if the woman was attacked inside or outside of her home. She was rushed to Johns Hopkins Bay View with serious injuries. Following the attack her dogs fled the area; one is described as white and the other as brown. Just after 8:00 Friday evening the white Pit Bull was found in the 8200 block of North Point and shot, and authorities are still looking for the brown Pit Bull. A phone calls system has been sent out to alert neighbors of the incident.
