Police Seek Dundalk Hit-and-Run Driver

Bicyclist Jason Watson, 15, remains at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore after being struck by an SUV early Saturday morning.

 

Baltimore County police officials are searching for a motorist who struck a bicyclist in Dundalk early Saturday morning and left the scene of the crash.

Jason Watson, 15, of North Point Village, was riding his bike at 12:17 a.m. April 28 along the west shoulder of North Point Boulevard when he was struck by a white SUV believed to be a Ford Explorer, police officials said.

Watson sustained serious injuries in the crash and was taken to the University of Maryland's R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where he remained Tuesday.

The vehicle that struck Watson was traveling southbound on North Point Boulevard, just south of the ramp from North Point Boulevard to southbound I-695, according to a Baltimore County Police Department statement.

The driver swerved into the west shoulder, striking Watson. The SUV's driver did not stop and continued south on North Point Boulevard, officials said.

The SUV being sought by police has dark tinted windows and may have damage to the right front corner, police said.
