Reports: Sparta Inn Break-in, Fireworks Burglary, Arson Threat

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Ruth Avenue, 2300 block, 10:45 p.m. July 4. Two women got into an argument at a home at the above location. One of the women threatened to blow the house up and took a rod from the window blinds and put it into the stove, filling the house with smoke.

Erin Elizabeth Walters, 23, of the 7500 block of Bayfront Road, was charged with arson threat, second-degree malicious burning and malicious destruction of property less than $500.

Poplar Place, 1700 block, between noon July 4 and 2:30 p.m. July 5. An unknown burglar or burglars entered ABC Driver Education and removed $750 from the business safe. No forced entry was used, according to police.

Merritt Boulevard, 1200 block, between midnight and 8 a.m. July 4. An unknown burglar removed two bottom hinges and then pried the door open to a fireworks trailer owned by Paramount Promotions based in Chantilly, Va. Once inside, the burglar stole a cash box containing $50.

North Point Road, 6200 block, 5:58 a.m., July 4. An unknown burglar gained entry into the Sparta Inn by forcing open an unlocked door. Nothing was taken from the location.

Jasmine Road, 2000 block, 10 p.m. July 4 and 6 a.m. July 5. Unknown burglars stole a 2004, Ford F-150 truck and drove it to Pennsylvania where it was set on fire.

Leeway, unit block, between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. July 4. An unknown burglar or burglars entered the property at the above location through an unlocked door and removed $414 in currency, four watches and a wallet.

Guyway and Kavanaugh Road, 10:30 p.m., July 5. Two teenage males reported to police that they were approached by three other teenage males with a knife and demanded the two teenagers empty their pockets. Two backpacks were stolen containing clothes and $13.

Center Place, 100 block, between 11:30 p.m. July 1 and 12:15 a.m. July 2. A 52-year-old man was cut on his face during an argument with an unidentified acquaintance.

North Point Terrace, unit block, between 6 p.m. July 5 and 3 p.m. July 8. An unknown burglar or burglars cut a screen on a rear porch and removed a 32-inch LCD television.

Wallford Drive, 3100 block, between 6:30 and 4:30 p.m., July 6. An unknown burglar entered and apartment at the above location and removed a 32-inch television, DVD player and Nintendo Wii.

Tyler Road, 1800 block, between July 19 and June 30. An unknown burglar entered a home at the above location through an unlocked basement window and removed jewelry and a camera.
