Robbers Hit Subway, Pedestrians

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

North Point Boulevard, 4000 block, 3:24 a.m., July 17. An unidentified male threw a brick through the front glass door of the Subway restaurant, took the cash register and fled. The cash register is valued at $100 and it contained $52.83 in cash.

German Hill Road and Delvale Avenue, 8 p.m., July 19. Three  teenage boys approached a 19-year-old man on a bicycle, punched him, knocked him to the ground. Police later stopped and detained the boys on Youngstown Road, where they were identified and intervewed. The 19-year-old man suffered bruising to his face and a bloody nose and was taken to Bayview Hospital for medical treatment. The three suspects were arrested and charged as juveniles in the case, according to Baltimore County police.

Kavanaugh Road and Guyway, 12:50 a.m. July 13. A 37-year-old woman was walking her dog when she was approached by two men. One of the men asked for a cigarette, and while the woman was lighting the man's cigarette, the second man attempted to go through the woman's pockets. The second man then produced a knife, demanding the woman's property. At that time, an unknown sound startled the would-be robbers, who ran away.

Holabird Avenue and East Avenue, 12:12 a.m. July 13. A 53-year-old woman was walking home near and was pushed to the ground by an unknown robber. The woman's purse, containing $12 and an I.D. card were stolen.

A suspect has been identified and charges are pending, according to Baltimore County police.
