Silver Alert Update: Dundalk Man, 82, Found in N.J.

UPDATE (1:30 p.m.) A Dundalk senior with who did not return home from an errand Friday morning, has been found safe and unharmed in New Jersey.

Elmer Richard Nickel, 82, of the 2600 block of W. Woodwell Road, left the family home at 9:30 a.m. Friday, intending to drive to the Eastern Sanitary Landfill Solid Waste Management Facility on Days Cove Road in White Marsh. He was reported missing Friday afternoon.

Nickel was located by New Jersey State Police Saturday night, according to Baltimore County police spokeswoman Det. Cathy Batton.

Baltimore County police previously reported that Nickel's credit cards were used purchases in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey Friday and Saturday. Silver Alerts were authorized and the state police were contacted in each state.

Nickel's family drove to New Jersey him to pick him up and bring him home, Batton said.

He was reported missing Friday afternoon. 

He'd been last seen operating a white 2000 Ford Focus.
