Snowball Stand Burglary; Daughter Charged in Theft of Father's Home; Robbery at Eastpoint Parking Lot Among Recently Reported Crimes

A sampling of recently reported crimes in Precinct 12/North Point includes armed robbery, assault and home burglaries.

Wynbrook Road, 7700 block, between 7 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., May 17. A woman used to a key to enter a home, and once inside, removed a camera, lens, Blu-ray player, laptop computer and 15 Oxycodone pills. According to police, a neighbor witnessed the incident. Baltimore County have charged the homeowner’s daughter with theft.

Stephanie Byrd, 27, of the 7700 block of Wynbrook Road in Dundalk, has been charged with theft between $1,000 and $10,000 by Baltimore County police.

Charlesmont Road, 7800 block, 6:12 a.m., May 19. A suspect entered a home and allegedly assaulted two people and then fled in a black Chevy Cobalt.

Eastern Boulevard, 7800 block, between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., May 17. A woman, 51, was walking in the parking lot of the Eastpoint Mall when she was approached by two male suspects, who demanded her money. They took $250 and fled the scene.

Courtney Lynn Speca, of the 4600 block of Sandwood Road in Sparrows Point, has been charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary, and two counts of second-degree assault.

Guyway, 1900 block, 4:27 p.m., May 9. A burglar forced open the front door of a residence, entering the home and removing one pack of cigarettes and $60 in currency. The suspect was located and identified by a witness and $20 in currency and the cigarettes were recovered, according to police reports.

Charles Melvin Donoho, 36, of the 700 block of Aldworth Road in Dundalk, was charged with first-degree burglary, theft of less than $100 and malicious destruction of property.

Jaydee Avenue, 800 block, between 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., May 11. A burglar was observed at the rear basement bedroom window. The window had been opened 4-5 inches before the burglar was seen. The suspect, the homeowner’s son, according to police reports, fled the location on foot.

North Boundary Road, 8200 block, 11 p.m., May 10. A man entered an apartment at the above location using a key and destroyed a picture of the female resident and another boyfriend. The victim witnessed the man inside the building, according to police reports.

Jario Moises Valerio Fernandez, 19, of the 2900 block of Cornwall Road, was charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property less than $500 and theft of less than $100.

North Point Boulevard, 900 block, between 3:45 a.m. and 4:15 a.m., May 15. Three suspects approached a 33-year-old man, and one of the male suspects struck the victim with the handle of a black revolver and left with $62 in currency.

North Point Road, 7500 block, between 9 p.m. May 14 and 11 a.m. May 15. A burglar entered the Icy Delights snowball stand, broke open the cash register and stole $75.

Glenard Middleton Court, 120 block, between 6:20 a.m. and 10 p.m., May 13. A burglar entered a residence through a slightly opened second floor bedroom window and removed a computer, two Playstation2 systems, a phone, 16 Playstation2 games and $100 in currency.
