Three Men Charged After Fleeing Drug Arrest; Rape and Armed Robbery Among Recently Reported Crimes

The following crime log is a sampling of recently reported crimes in Precinct 12/North Point.

Wise Avenue, 100 block, 5:46 p.m., April 20. Detectives made an attempt to arrest several males in a black Volkswagon Jetta for possession of controlled dangerous substances. The driver accelerated the vehicle to flee the area. The vehicle was located approximately an hour later with three men inside.

A detective suffered abrasions and a knee injury in making the arrest, and was treated at Bayview Hospital and later released.

Cornell Antonio Yarbour, Jr., 19, of the 2000 block of Paulette Rd., Dundalk, was charged with two counts of possession of marijuana, first-degree and second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.

Richard Mason, 20, of the 4300 block of Mispillon Road, Nottingham, was charged with possession of marijuana, first and second-degree assault, assault-second-degree of a law enforcement officer, reckless endangerment, and three counts of accessory after the statute.

Brent Michael Monroe, 19, of the 400 block of Hornel St., Baltimore, was charged with possession of marijuana, first and second-degree assault, assault-second-degree of a law enforcement officer, reckless endangerment, and four counts of accessory after the statute.

Wise Avenue and Stokesley Road, 1:06 a.m., April 19. A man was waiting at the bus stop when three other men approached him, one of who pointed a handgun at him and demanded his property. A cell phone, 17-inch laptop computer, $300 in currency, a book bag and wallet were stolen.

Dundalk Avenue, unit block, 12:35 a.m., April 20. Two women were walking home from Royal Farms and were approached from behind by a man with a handgun, who attempted to take one woman’s purse and the other woman’s Royal Farms store bag. The suspect was unable to get either the purse or the bag and fled.

Dunmore Road and Dunran Road, 8:36 p.m. April 15. Two men approached three other men from behind and asked for a cigarette. One of the men asking for a cigarette then produced a chrome, semi-automatic handgun and demanded the three men’s cellphones and money, then fled toward the Dundalk Shopping Center.

Bank Street, 8000 block, between April 15 and April 16. An unknown burglar or burglars entered a residence through a possible unlocked door and stole a 42-inch Panasonic television, 37-inch Panasonic television, a Toshiba laptop, a digital camera and Louis Vuitton purse.

Northview Road, 8200 block, between April 16 and April 17. An unknown burglar or burglars entered a residence and stole a variety of power tools the homeowner was using to renovate the house, including three Dewalt cordless drills, a Dewalt saw, a two Bosch nail guns, a Hitachi nail gun, Hitachi saw, an air compressor and Torpedo heater. Total value: $1,800.
