All Baltimore Beltway Lanes at Rt. 702 Now Open
Shoulder work at the location will continue for a few more weeks, according to State Highway Administration officials.
Maryland State Highway Administration officials have good news for eastern Baltimore County commuters.
The left-hand lane along the outer loop of I-695 at MD Rt. 702 that has been closed since early July reopened at about 2 p.m. Sunday.
The lane was closed for crews to perform slope stabilization work and to prepare the area for repaving, according to highways officials.
While the lane was closed, only one lane continued on to the Beltway and the right-hand lane was an exit-only lane to Rt. 702.
The work on the shoulder will continue for a few more weeks, according to highways administration spokesman Charlie Gischlar.
