The Community College of Baltimore County has been named one of the region's top large companies by employees who participated in a Baltimore Sun survey.
The Sun on Sunday published lists of the top large, midsize and small companies in the Baltimore region.
CCBC snagged the fifth spot in the top 10 large companies, based upon employee feedback.
The paper also named the region's top 20 midsize companies and the top 50 small workplaces.
"I feel privileged to be among the 80 companies recognized as a Top Workplace in the Baltimore region," CCBC President Sandra Kurtinitis said in a statement. “Earning this recognition is a testament to the great work our college does to foster student success."
The Sun's survey was conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, a research firm that specializes in organizational health and employee engagement, according to the CCBC statement.
In the survey, employees weighed in on their company's sense of direction, its ability to execute policies and procedures and the connectivity they feel with their respective companies, according to the CCBC statement.
Employees also answered questions about their day-to-day job duties to determine how they feel about their pay and benefits, level of support from managers and opportunities for career development.
"It is our employees who really deserve the credit for making CCBC a great place to work," Kurtinitis said in the statement. "I am proud to lead such a terrific institution."
