Pick 4 Winners Break the MD Lottery Bank
Saturday night's winning numbers 4-4-4-4 paid out $7 million to 2,800 winners.
A four-of-a-kind made many gamblers across Maryland rich, and none of them were playing poker.
On Saturday night, the Maryland Lottery's Pick 4 was 4-4-4-4, which led 2,800 winners to recieve a portion of a record-$7 million payout for the game on just $458,358 in sales. A Pick 4 winner who plays a $1 card receives $5,000.
Per Lottery officials, 4-4-4-4 sold-out around 9 a.m. on Saturday when sales of that combination brought the potential prize total to the largest permitted. According to Lottery records, it’s not at all unusual for specific Pick 3 and Pick 4 combinations to “sell out.”
