Maryland Transit Administration Police have charged an MTA bus driver with assault after an altercation with a passenger near the Eastpoint Mall, according to a post on The Baltimore Sun’s website Saturday night citing a police statement.

MTA hired the bus driver, Brian Jamal Marshall, 28, in 2006. He is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center, facing charges of assault, aggravated assault and possession of a deadly weapon, the Sun report said, citing police.

WJZ reported that there was an argument Saturday between the driver and a passenger, Ricardo Devon Hale, 44, allegedly resulting in Hale being stabbed in the 7800 block of Eastern Ave. Hale suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Hopkins Bayview Hospital, according to media reports.
