With the multi-state Powerball jackpot at more then $300 million, gamblers are once again dreaming of what they would do with such a windfall, should they buy the winning ticket.
When no top-tier winner emerged from Saturday's drawing, the jackpot climbed to $320 million, with a cash option value of $213 million, according to a Maryland Lottery press release.
The jackpot has been building since June 27. A Connecticut couple won $60 million in the June 23 drawing, according to the lottery agency.
Powerball is played in 44 jurisdictions across the country. Since Maryland started participating in the game in January 2010, the state has had two Powerball jackpot winners. Since January, two Marylanders have won the second-tier prize of $1 million.
