Learn how Howard County is working to clean up the Chesapeake Bay.

In the aftermath of recent floods, local environmentalists will discuss the impact of polluted stormwater runoff on waterways.

Panelists will also discuss the county's new Watershed Implementation Plan.

After presentations, there will be a question and answer session.

This event, held in the Banneker Room in the George Howard Building, is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Howard County, the Howard County Environmental Sustainability Board and the Howard County Citizens Association.

Build a rain garden, install a rain barrel, quit fertilizing your lawn, pick up your dog's litter, and you, too, can help clean up the Chesapeake Bay. Rain gardens and barrels can also help handle those flows from the massive storms that have hit Howard County. Speakers were great! The PPT presentations will be posted and linked to www.livegreenhoward.com
