Junior Jacob Rutter has been named Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts Student of the Week for the week ending Dec. 14.
Rutter was nominated for the honor by technology liaison Terri Grimes, social studies teacher Steve Dorfman and technical theater teacher Kevin Carlson.
Nominators said Rutter, who is "very tech savvy," is always willing to use his "considerable technology knowledge to work in helping teachers with projector or computer problems, even after school."
Rutter helps refurbish old computers and helps to set up technology for faculty meetings. He also operates lights for theater productions.
"He is eager to help and consistently looks for ways to make the school technology work better," nominators said in a statement to Patch. "He is also very hard working and always has a positive attitude.
