Patapsco High Student of the Week: Rachael McCormick

Rachael McCormick was named the Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts Student of the Week for the week of Oct. 25.

She was nominated for the honor by Beth Wagner, Nikki Womer and Jillian Roberta. The three educators and staff members noted her "exemplary initiative in planning and implementing the breast cancer awareness fundraiser," according to a statement from Liberty Grayek, the school's magnet coordinator.

"She worked incredibly hard at school and at home to tie-dye all the shirts ensuring a successful campaign," the educators said in the statement. "She is a hard worker but always has a smile on her face and she is willing to help and goes over and above for teachers and her class."
