Patapsco, Sparrows Point Bands to March in Annual Showcase

Towson University will host the high school marching band extravaganza Oct. 27.

Two Dundalk-area high school marching bands are among nine Baltimore County  public high school bands scheduled to participate in the county's 26th annual Marching Band Showcase.

The bands from Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts and Sparrows Point High School will strut their stuff at the musical extravaganza set for Oct. 27, at Towson University's Johnny Unitas Stadium.

Other county bands scheduled to participate include those from Dulaney, Loch Raven, Milford Mill, Perry Hall, Towson and Woodlawn High schools, according to a statement from the school system.

Those eight bands will be joined by that of New Town High School for a "mass band performance to conclude the event," according to the statement.

The crowd will also be treated to exhibition performances by Morgan State University's Magnificent Marching Machine and the Towson University Tiger Marching Band.

The event is open to the public. Tickets cost $6, and there is not a rain date for the event.
