Schools Closing Early Friday; Thunderstorm Warning Tonight
For the third straight day, Baltimore County Public Schools will close early Friday because of the current heat wave.
Due to excessive heat, schools will close two hours early for the third straight day on Friday, with no afternoon kindergarten, Baltimore County Public Schools officials announced.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory and air quality alert for the Dundalk area. Temperatures were expected to hit 102 degrees Thursday afternoon and reach the low 90s on Friday.
There's a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms Friday. Thunderstorms and showers are likely Saturday.

According to a list compiled by County Councilman David Marks, roughly 80 schools across the county do not offer complete air conditioning.
