Dundalk's Cristy Can Add 'Cookie Queen' to Her Resumé

For the third year in a row, Dotty Cristy won the Best Decorated category in the Dundalk Renaissance Corp.'s Holiday Hoopla cookie contest.

No one can ever accuse Dundalk's own Dotty Cristy of ever going after something half-heartedly—once she puts her mind to something, it appears to be all or nothing.

Professionally, the woman-about-town is a Realtor and also serves as the executive director of the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce.

The wife, mother and grandmother is also known for supporting the efforts of her family members. Husband Joe is involved in many activities around town, including Heritage Fair and the Greater Dundalk Sports Hall of Fame. Son Joe works at High Point University in North Carolina, and his proud mother is known for posting updates about his accomplishments on Facebook.

She recently asked for Dundalk's support of a video that features her grandson, Jackson, in a competitive game of Go Fish. The video is entered in a contest that could lead to the clip being aired as a Doritos commercial during the 2014 Super Bowl.

Cristy is also an accomplished amateur photographer and has what seems like bushel baskets of ribbons and other awards for her landscapes, portraits and other photos shot here and there.

Now Cristy can add the title of Cookie Queen to her resumé.

This past weekend, Cristy won the Best Decorated Cookie category in the Dundalk Renaissance Corp.'s annual Holiday Hoopla Cookie Contest.

Her Rudy the Reindeer treat did the trick, as far as a panel of judges was concerned.

Cristy told me it's the third straight year she's won the Best Decorated cookie title. The first time, she did it with an original creation called Peanutbutter Dots and last year she defended her title with the decorated mice cookies that also snagged the eye of Baltimore Sun judges this year.

So here's to the house-selling, business-advocating, award-winning, picture-taking, cookie-baking, detail-loving, family-oriented woman extraordinaire.

Makes me wonder what she'll tackle next.

I'm thinking she should take a look at world peace!
