Lacrosse: Sparrows Point Girls Claim Top Seed in Playoffs

Sparrows Point is a top seed in the 2A/1A varsity girls lacrosse playoffs, which start this week.

The team, like the rest on the north division bracket, has a bye and will host Owings Mills in a second-round match on Friday.

On the boys side, Sparrows Point will host Pikesville Wednesday at 5 p.m., with the winner to face the victor in the first-round match between Joppatowne and Southern (Anne Arundel).

Patapsco's eighth-seeded boys team will host Dundalk Wednesday for the right to face top seed North Harford in the 3A/2A bracket, while the girls team will travel to Lansdowne, with the winner taking on North Harford or Towson.

Dundalk's girls will travel to Hereford Wednesday, with the winner going on to face Franklin or Aberdeen.
