The 2012 Dundalk Concerts in the Park series was supposed to conclude tonight with an appearance by the 229th Army rock ensemble Live Fire.
But Mother Nature hasn't been kind to the concert schedule this summer, with rain canceling two of the six performances.
Concert organizer Angel Ball was able to reschedule one of those rained-out gigs, with variety band Impulse set to appear Aug. 30 at Heritage Park.
So music lovers tonight can enjoy the tunes of the renowned Army band with the promise of one more summer concert to be enjoyed in the village green with friends new and old.
Tonight's concert begins at 6:30 p.m. at the gazebo in Heritage Park on Trading Place in downtown Dundalk.
The free series is sponsored by the Dundalk-Eastfield Recreation Council, the Dundalk-Patapsco Neck Historical Society and Ball.
Chick-fil-A and Mean Jean's Hot Dog machine will sell food, and snowballs, popcorn and "walking tacos" will be sold by rec council volunteers.
